Employees of the State Archives in Pazin dr. sc. Maja Milovan and Sandra Koroman Baf with the presentation Themes of the Istrian Railway through the funds and collections of the State Archives in Pazin participate in the scientific conference Two Centuries of Rail in the World and Railway Development in Croatia.
The conference will be held on October 1, 2025 at the Institute of Social Sciences Dr. Ivo Pilar in Zagreb. The conference was co-organised by the Croatian Institute of History, the Croatian Railway Museum, HŽ Infrastrukture d.o.o., the Ivo Pilar Institute of Social Sciences, the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences of the University of Zagreb and the Faculty of Science of the University of Zagreb.
The event commemorates the 200th anniversary of the launch of the first public railway for passenger and freight traffic in England in 1825. At the same time, in those years, the first studies of Croatian rail connections were made in our area.
