This year again, the City of Pazin, in cooperation with the Open University of Pazin and other Pazin publishers, will organise for the tenth time an exhibition-sales ‘Pazin Book Fair’ – a book fair for Pazin publishers and authors.

Citizens of Pazin, as well as all other visitors, will be able to get to know and read in one place the books published in recent years by various Pazin publishers, which are in Pazin and outside Pazpublished by the Pazin authors. On the other hand, the Fair provides an opportunity for publishers to sell and interested buyers to buy various current publications at promotional prices, as well as those of the ‘forgotten’ Pazin books stored far from the public eye and mostly unavailable in bookstores. In addition, the Fair offers the opportunity to the citizens of Pazin who have interesting books in their collections that they want to offer for sale, to do so at the stand provided for antique book sales.

This traditional event this year is for the second time incorporated into the month of the book.

In addition to the opening ceremony at 10.30 am and the program of students of the Music Department of elementary school Vladimir Nazor Pazin, the following is a presentation of the edition of the Chakavian Parliament and the Istrian branch of the Croatian Writers' Association: Herbarium mysticum by Vlado Acquavit, Essays and Records by Stjepan Vukušić and The Dream by Albin Crnobori. Subsequently, a workshop organised by the State Archives in Pazin entitled ‘Healthy and cheerful were’, led by Anamarija Kurelić, is on the programme and is intended for senior grades of primary school.

In the afternoon program, at 15.15, the Association Bujšćinski glas from Buje will present its work by promoting two books: collections of travelogues about Istria The Magic Powder sprinkled by Vesna Kiseljak Varelija and the book Theater on Wheels, by Zlatan Varelija, about the history of theatrical life of the lush. The program of the Fair will end with the play Imagine Teatro Tirena, which deals with imagination and creativity, starts at 17:00, and is intended for students of lower grades of primary school.

The fair will be held on Wednesday, November 6, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the hall of the Memorial Home. (taken from: https://tvistra.hr/sajam-pazinske-knjige-u-srijedu-6-stude…/, 6.11.2019.)
