As part of the Istrian Library Week event, a lecture was held on 15 September 2025. Traditional music of Istria, which has attracted many visitors and cultural heritage lovers.
Lecturers prof. excellent advisor Suzana Goldin, dr. sc. Noel Šuran and ethnomusicologist Dario Marušić presented the rich tradition of Istrian music through an overview of the Istrian scale, folk songs, traditional instruments and ritual customs. Their presentations emphasized the importance of preserving and transmitting this intangible cultural heritage, which is an inseparable part of the identity of Istria.
Participants followed the presentations with great interest, and the atmosphere of the lectures confirmed that music remains a strong bridge between the past and the future.
The organizers thank all visitors for their arrival and the lecturers for their dedication and professional contribution to the preservation of cultural heritage.
