The Memorial Plate Called Črnji

In Zagreb, a memorial plaque was officially discovered at the house in Krajiška street 17, where Zvana Črnja lived and worked, a Croatian writer, cultural scientist and one of the prominent promoters of Chakavian word and culture.

With this act, we preserve the memory of a man whose literary, cultural and public activities have left a deep mark in Croatian culture, and especially in Istrian and Chakavian heritage.

The memorial plaque will permanently remind us of Črnji's work and the period he spent creating at this address.
