The Croatian Archival Society (HAD) in cooperation with the State Archives in Vukovar (DAVU) organized the 55th Conference of Croatian Archivists from 23 to 25 October 2024.
The registration of participants started already on Tuesday, October 22, and continued on Wednesday, October 23, when the opening ceremony of the consultation was held. Many representatives of various cultural and economic institutions and companies of the Republic of Croatia spoke at the opening.
Lectures and workshops were organized in two days and took place in two locations. One was in Vukovar's Croatian Home, and the other was in Vukovar's Hotel Lav. The lectures were extremely interesting and related to archivistics and the development of archivistics in the future. On Thursday, 24 October, a one-day excursion was organized for all participants of the consultation. Participants visited the Vučedol Culture Museum, Ovčar Memorial Home, Vukovar Water Tower and the town of Ilok and its wine cellars.
In addition to the lectures, the last day of the consultation also included reports on the work of the sections of the Croatian Archival Society and reports from meetings, workshops and lectures that took place at the consultation. After that, the 55th Conference of Croatian Archivists was officially closed and all participants headed to their homes. We would like to thank all those who participated in the consultation and all those who, in one way or another, contributed to the organisation of the consultation itself.
