This edition of the Journal of the State Archives in Pazin is dedicated to church and state civil registers in Istria County. It consists of four parts and annexes. In the introductory part, the authors Dražen Vlahov, Danijela Doblanović and Jakov Jelinčić talk about the history and significance of the breeding books, and their management in Istria. The second, most comprehensive part, is the List of parent books by Jakov Jelinčić, Branka Poropat and Danijela Doblanović. In it, all herd books are listed by parishes with an indication of the time limit to which they refer and an indication of where each book is kept. The third part brings a list of pairs, i.e. transcripts of the civil registers that parish priests were obliged to keep from 1835 and send to the Diocesan Ordinariate. The last part consists of a list of birth certificates. In the appendix Jakov Jelinčić brings a list of all parishes and chaplains in the area of Poreč and Pula diocese, with an indication of the dean to whom individual parishes and chaplains belong or belong to him and a list of all places in Poreč and Pula dioceses with an indication of belonging to a particular parish in the present and possibly in the past.
Presentation of the edition was held on March 4, 2009 in the Great Hall of the State Archives in Pazin.
