The presentation of the Proceedings in honor of Stipan Trogrlić was held on 21 November 2024 in the Great Hall of the State Archives in Pazin. The publishers of the Proceedings are the Literary Circle of Split, the State Archives in Pazin, the Institute of Social Sciences Ivo Pilar, the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula and Josip Turčinović Pazin.
The collection of papers dedicated to Prof. Stipan Trogrlić, structured in 14 thematic papers, mainly covers the Istrian area and its history The previous knowledge undoubtedly expands the processing of the Poreč Capitol in the 15th century in relation to the corresponding context and historical changes, as well as the analysis of data from the nineteenth-century registers of baptized and married parishes of Barban, and by bringing the relationship between the material, social and cultural components, a more complete representation of the diversity of society and moving movements is obtained (suspected data in tables and graphs). Particularly interesting is the example of the struggle for the survival of the vernacular, Croatian language in the liturgy in the area of the diocese of Poreč and Pula at the time of the bishopship of John the Baptist Flappo, the linguistic controversies of the Church-liturgical issues of the use of Latin or Old Slavonic language in the liturgy. In the end, the canonical and legal sources for understanding the service of catechists in the Catholic Church are analyzed, the existence of identity between tolerance and respect is seen (in relation to openness, contradiction, communion and dialogue in their potentials, and on the other hand, the preservation of their peculiarities and affirmation of their own national values), and finally the memories of Prof. Stipan Trogrlić and his influence on contemporaries are brought.
