On Friday, 29 January 2016, from 18:00 to 24:00, the State Archives in Pazin marked the Night of Museums event, which was held that evening in cultural institutions across Croatia.

The Night of Museums programme at the State Archives in Pazin, as last year, consisted of several activities.

From 18:30 onwards, every hour Aldo Prenc, senior restorer of the State Archives in Pazin, presented the restoration activities of DAPA. On this occasion, visitors were able to see what they looked like and what processes included the stages of restoration of archives.

At 19:00, Mladenka Hammer, senior librarian of the State Archives in Pazin, gave a lecture on the life and work of the well-deserved Pazin professor Tugomil Ujčić.

After the lecture, at 21:00 there was a screening of two documentary films in the Great Hall Archives: film Istria, directed by Branko Marjanović from 1945, lasting 25 minutes, and film The Truth About Pula, directed by Kosta Hlavaty from 1947, lasting 29 min.

During the evening, a guided tour of the two exhibitions was organised. There is an exhibition Permanent exhibition, by the archivist Biserka Budicin. The exhibition was opened in December 2014 on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the State Archives in Pazin and represents a selection of the most interesting and most representative archival material stored in the Pazin Archives. The second exhibition that visitors could see was the exhibition. Prof. Tugomil Ujčić: life, work, library, by Mladenka Hammer.

Finally, it should be mentioned that this year, throughout the evening, a special sale of the publishing activity of the State Archives was held in Pazin at promotional prices.

The programme of the Night of Museums event was held in the Great Hall of the State Archives in Pazin, and entrance to all programmes was free of charge.
