The State Archives in Pazin participated as a collaborator in the international project Riflessi mediterranei: Venezia bribe e modello tra Sette e Ottocento which implements Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.
In addition to the State Archives in Pazin, the project also included the Regione del Veneto, Società di studi storici e geografici Piirano – Society for Gentlemen’s and Geographic Shouthi Piran, Università Ca’ Foscari Venezia – Dipartimento di Studi Linguistici e Culturali Comparati, MIUR – Ministero dell’Istruzione, Università e Ricerca, PoLab – Laboratorio di ricerca sulle città porto and the Center for Comparative International Studies.
As the final activity of the project, an international conference was organized Mito e modello: echi della Repubblica di Venezia tra Sette e Ottocento, which took place on 18 and 19 November 2024 at Ca’ Foscari University in Venice.
On behalf of the State Archives in Pazin, Mirela Mrak Kliman, Stefanija Takoović Licul and Maja Milovan presented a presentation entitled Studiare Venezia e l’Istria attraverso il patrimonio dell’Archivio di Stato di Pisino, which emphasized the importance of archival material for the study of relations between Venice and Istria in the 18th and 19th centuries.
