About the trainer:
Dr. Sc. Mario Sošić, Kanfanar (Brajkovići), is a social sciences scientist in the scientific field of political science. His fundamental scientific interest is related to the field of transition processes and Europeanization in post-communist countries of Central and Eastern Europe and he is particularly focused on comparative analysis, on the search for causes and consequences, and the successes and failures of these processes in them. He has published several scientific papers in leading scientific journals for political science: Political thought and annals. His work on the local and regional research areas and topics is concentrated primarily on the political history of Istria, ranging from the revival period in the 19th century to the present day, as well as on the analysis of social processes related to the (de)construction of national, subnational and political identities of Istria. He presents his knowledge in this regard at scientific and professional conferences, he publishes in several proceedings, as well as in yearbooks such as Istrian Danica, Bujština and others, and the monthly Ladonja, in which he is a regular long-term columnist. He is a member of the Croatian Political Science Association and its Executive Board.
