The Board of Directors of the State Archives in Pazin has five members. Four members are appointed by the founder and one is chosen by the employees in accordance with the regulations governing employment relationships. The term of office of the members of the Board of Directors shall be four years.
The Governing Board shall carry out the following tasks:
- adopts the work programme of the Archive and supervises its execution;
- adopt the financial plan;
- adopt a report on the execution of the work programme;
- adopt a report on the implementation of the annual financial plan;
- adopts the Statute with the consent of the founder;
- adopt, on a proposal from the Director, a general act laying down the conditions, criteria and manner in which own revenue is to be used;
- provide the founder and the director with suggestions and opinions on individual issues;
- performs other tasks specified by law and the Statute.
The President of the Governing Council shall prepare, convene and conduct meetings, on which minutes shall be kept. The session shall be convened when requested in writing by the founder, at least one third of the members of the Board of Directors or the Director of the State Archives in Pazin.
