The Association of Librarians of Istria has launched a new project called Istrian Libraries Week. The aim of the project is to connect all types of libraries in the area of Istria County through activities united by a selected central theme. The first Istrian Library Week was held from September 23 to 27, 2019, and this year's central theme was dedicated to information literacy. In the library of the State Archives in Pazin, as part of the project of the Association of Librarians of Istria, a workshop on Library e-services - database search was held. The librarian Anamarija Kurelić gave a lecture to interested users of the library and explained what databases are and how and for what purpose they are used in everyday finding of information and which most common operators are used in searching databases. After the theoretical part, the participants searched the EBSCOhost database on the Portal of Electronic Sources for the Croatian Academic and Scientific Community in the practical part via laptops and using Boolean operators to find the default terms.
