Exhibit at a glance:
The exhibition Glagoljica in Brseč, Mošćenice and Mošćenička Draga, prepared by the Cathedral of the Chakavian Parliament of the Municipality of Mošćenička Draga in cooperation with the Old Church Slavonic Institute, the Archive of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, the Croatian State Archives in Zagreb, the State Archives in Pazin, the State Archives in Rijeka and the Jenio Sisolski Association from Brseč, opened on Friday, 15 December 2017 at the State Archives in Pazin. The organizers wish to present to the general public the Glagolitic heritage of Brsešćina and Mošćenišćina. The preserved remains of Glagolitic culture in the area, although not large in scope, show the breadth of use of the Glagolitic script over several centuries: in liturgy (liturgical books printed in Glagolitic script), in solemn public use (monuments of public law and inscriptions on buildings), in daily use (private law monuments and graffiti) and in literature. The selection from the preserved monuments was presented on twenty posters designed by Maja S. Franković. The selection included some Glagolitic inscriptions, two public law monuments (Kožljački divorce from 1395 and Mošćenička urbar from 1622), several documents from the 16th and 17th centuries and Žgombićev zbornik from the 16th century – an extremely valuable collection of medieval literary texts, part of which, as has been shown in recent times, has been copied in Mošćenice. She is the author of the texts of the exhibition Sandra Požar (Sudec).
