Establishment of the Italian government in the political district of Volosko-Opatija with special reference to the Municipality of Mošćenice (1918-1920) (30.9.2020.)

Dr. Sc. Ivan Jeličić (Rijeka, 1988) is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Political History in Budapest. Nepostrans - Negotiating post-imperial transitions: from remobilization to nation-state consolidation. A comparative study of local and regional transitions in post-Habsburg East and Central Europe, funded by the European Research Council. He received his PhD in History from the University of Trieste in 2017 defending his dissertation on the socialist movement in Rijeka in the late Habsburg period (Nell’ombra dell’autonomismo. Il movimento socialista a Fiume, 1901. 1921). He is an external associate at the Department of History of the University of Rijeka and an associate on an international research project River in Flux: Borders and Urban Change after World War II. He is the author of several scientific articles on the history of Rijeka at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The main area of his scientific interest is the social and political history of Rijeka at the end of the 19th and the first half of the 20th century, with special reference to the socialist movement.
