This year's Fair of Pazin Books, organized by the City of Pazin and Pazin publishers, is held in the Year of Reading and in the Month of the Croatian Book with the aim of engaging in the promotion of the importance of reading from the earliest age and to encourage citizens of Pazin of all ages to socialize with the book. The opening program begins on Thursday, November 11, 2021 in the Hall of the Memorial Home, starting at 10:30 am.

The fair is held for the eleventh time, and the program of the fair is focused primarily on Pazin publishers and authors, but the surrounding publishers have also actively participated in the creation of the program of the fair.

We invite all book and reading lovers and all interested citizens to come and present their latest editions, for which, after last year's pause caused by the coronavirus pandemic, they are extremely motivated.

The programs are diverse and adapted to different ages and genres. Our fellow citizens, children and parents, educational institutions in the City of Pazin are involved, and visitors will give added value in the joint action to give the book the importance it deserves and thus develop our own culture.

Members were also involved in the creation of the program. the Pazin Amateur Theatre who will promote and interpret selected texts in the year of reading. The Pazin Author Jana Prević Finderle, whose collection of stories was published last year under the title ‘Bridge of travertine’, will read selected works from their collection.

In the literary program Pazin City Library will present a new picture book on ‘Strawberry Dora’ by Nina Ladavac and illustrator Marko Cerovac, and book ‘Beautiful stories about Eda Budisa“ editors Neven Ušumović and Ivo Ciceran.

Ethnographic Museum of Istria He will present his guide for children Predi, Throw my fingers ahead"It interprets the museum's collection on the production of textiles, clothing and footwear, as well as clothing and personal items.

Publishing house Josip Turčinović d.o.o. from Pazin We will be honored with two new editions, a book Roberta Ivančić ‘He is my brother"  and a new collection of poems Daniel Modović 'Chordature’.

State Archives in Pazin prepared the last number “Vjesnik Archives’, while Cathedral of Chakavian Parliament for the History of Istria prepared a new e-release ‘Zbornik Pazinski memorijal 30-31’.

the Chakavian Council will be presented with a book Minji the Queen“, the translation of the Little Prince into Žminj Chakavian which he signs Hope Galant.

The fair with the announced program will be held if the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic and the protection measures that will be in force allow us to do the same.
