About the trainer:
Marko Jelenić graduated in History and Italian Language and Literature from the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula. At the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Zagreb he is currently completing his postgraduate doctoral study of Modern and Contemporary Croatian History on the subject of climatic, demographic and agrarian conditions in Rovinjština from 1813 to 1825. The main area of his scientific research is the history of Istria in the early 19th century, primarily topics from climatological, economic and demographic history. He has published several scientific papers and actively participated in scientific conferences. He is the author of the book Kanfanar 1811-1825. Demographic movements and everyday life in the life of a parish. He is employed at Petar Studenac Primary School in Kanfanar and Svetvinčenat Primary School. He is the president of the Association for the Preservation and Promotion of the Dvegrajci Heritage, organizer of the Crtice symposium from the history of Kanfanar and editor of the Dvegrajski zbornik.
