On the occasion of the European Heritage Days 2021, we invite you on Wednesday, 15 September 2021 at 1 p.m. to the Grand Hall of the State Archives in Pazin to open the exhibition and present the platform \"Stories from Archives\" created within the Creative Europe CREARCH project dedicated to the development of new audiences and creative interpretation of archival sources. With new ways of communicating history, characters, places and local traditions documented in their records, through visual, digital and transmedia performances and live events, the archives want to introduce as many people as possible to their work and the importance of the material they keep.<\/p>\n
Within the CREARCH activities, ICARUS Croatia, in cooperation with numerous partners throughout Croatia, has launched a platform #StoriesThe archive that collects archival records with unusual stories, life paths and unique content. By virtually bringing together different archives and holders of archival collections \u2013 on the Internet, mobile applications, exhibitions and interaction with the audience \u2013 the stories hidden in the archives are presented and the creation, transmission and interpretation of new stories is encouraged.<\/p>\n
Billions of records are stored in the archives, and each of them keeps stories of people, events, places and the world around us. We want to present stories through different formats and media; exhibition on posters travels through different institutions, in virtual form are available on the platform #The stories of the Archives have also been published on several mobile applications, and a series of lectures by heritage experts with archival stories from public and private repositories and collections is available on the YouTube channel.<\/p>\n
The programme will present these and other activities dedicated to communication models and innovative artistic practices realized within the CREARCH project; the exhibition \"Stories from the Archives\" will open and the CREARCH Manual for Audience Development and other activities related to the creative presentation of archival sources will be presented, with a special emphasis on stories from the State Archives in Pazin.<\/p>\n
