He graduated from primary school and high school in his hometown, and received his master's degree from the Department of History of Juraj Dobrila University in Pula and the Central European University in Budapest. He regularly publishes articles in domestic and foreign journals, and participates in the work of domestic and international scientific conferences. In 2016, he co-authored a book. <em>I giorni a Wagna \/ Days in Wagna (1915-1918)<\/em>, A year later, he published a monograph. <em>Medulin Riviera Tourism \/ Medulin Riviera Tourism<\/em>, and in 2019 as editor publishes a collection of documents <em>Cold War Files. Istria 1946-1954 \/ Cold War documents. Istria 1946 1954<\/em> The main area of scientific and publicist interest of David Orlovi\u0107 is the history of Istria in the 19th and 20th centuries, with special reference to the period of Italian administration (1918. 1943). Since 2010 he has been a member of the Istrian Historical Society, and since 2017 he has been participating in the project <em>A century of European anti-fascism.
