Skup je organiziran u okviru istoimenog istra\u017eiva\u010dkog projekta posve\u0107enog prou\u010davanju razvoja javnog zdravstva u ranome novom vijeku, s naglaskom na ulogu sjevernojadranskih lu\u010dkih gradova u oblikovanju zdravstvenih praksi, normi i institucija. Program je obuhvatio izlaganja o sanitarnim magistraturama, karantenskim sustavima, diplomatskim i trgova\u010dkim mre\u017eama, \u0161irenju zaraznih bolesti te mehanizmima prevencije i kontrole u mediteranskom prostoru.
