Istrian Libraries Week<\/strong>, an event launched by the Association of Librarians of Istria with the aim of putting libraries in the focus of readers, members and users of libraries, citizens in general, through programmes taking place in Istrian libraries. This year's theme is dedicated to science, i.e. the distinction between pseudoscience and science, under the slogan \"The True Edge of Science\". The State Archives in Pazin also participated in the celebration of this valuable event. On September 20th, librarian Anamarija Kureli\u0107 organized educational workshops, presented by the Association Professor Baltazar, as part of the project <strong>Travelling STEM<\/strong>, We are also partners in the project. The aim of the workshops conducted by the Association is to increase the possibilities for children and young people to acquire knowledge, skills and adopt appropriate attitudes outside the regular educational system and improve the quality of life, in accordance with their interests and abilities. Participants in the workshops had the opportunity to find out what it was like to be a doctor for a day, find out how big our lungs are, measure their heart rate with a stethoscope, find out what the heart and lungs look like in various living creatures, learn how to make your own cipher and write secret messages, use Tesla's ball and set for electric current and magnetism.
