In circumstances where most cultural events are postponed or completely moved to digital channels of communication and content transmission, under the current conditions primarily related to the epidemiological measures of the COVID-19 pandemic, 16. The Night of Museums was held as a digital Night of Museums, in a way that is immanent to the time and functioning of museums in the conditions of the global world crisis.<\/p>\n

On Youtube<\/em> the Pazin State Archives channel (link: https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=xc8uCjh4iuM<\/a>) a video clip was set up presenting restored items from the holdings of the Pazin City Museum.<\/p>\n

This is a continuation of the successful cooperation between the two cultural institutions operating in Pazin. Conservation and restoration interventions on objects were carried out by employees from the Department of Archival Protection, Conservation and Restoration of the State Archives in Pazin. These are personal documents and newspapers dating back to the 19th and 20th centuries and are part of the Museum's rich Collection of Documents. The intention of the organizers, following the common theme of this year's Night of Museums, was to bring visitors closer to the importance of preserving museum items for generations to come precisely through conservation and restoration of them.<\/p>\n
