It consists of four parts and annexes. In the introductory part, the authors Dra\u017een Vlahov, Danijela Doblanovi\u0107 and Jakov Jelin\u010di\u0107 talk about the history and significance of the breeding books, and their management in Istria. The second, most comprehensive part, is the List of parent books by Jakov Jelin\u010di\u0107, Branka Poropat and Danijela Doblanovi\u0107. In it, all herd books are listed by parishes with an indication of the time limit to which they refer and an indication of where each book is kept. The third part brings a list of pairs, i.e. transcripts of the civil registers that parish priests were obliged to keep from 1835 and send to the Diocesan Ordinariate. The last part consists of a list of birth certificates.
